FUTURE / AVENIR

As always on the second Thursday in November, the phenomenon of the sudden rejuvenation of our team occurred today. We were delighted to welcome our young guests in Zurich and Lausanne on the occasion of the National Future Day or JOM (Journée oser tous les métiers). We were particularly pleased that the majority of girls were enthusiastic about a day at Lüchinger+Meyer. This was largely fuelled by the “Female Engineer” workshop, a joint initiative of the BEFH and SIA of the canton of Vaud, which enables interested girls to meet female engineers working in practice.

A varied programme awaited the young people: from insights into the everyday life of engineers and trainees to testing their own construction skills in the Marshmallow Challenge – where Team Zurich came out on top with the 1.23m high tower construction. – to construction site visits to the Tilia Tower and the Borrweg school complex. Of course, there were also opportunities to look over the shoulders of relatives and friends. We hope to generate lasting interest in the construction planning professions.

A big thank you to all the eager supporters who organised and accompanied the day of visits!
