Handing over the baton in Cham – Opening OYM

The new construction of the elite sports centre OYM  in Cham was a real project of the heart for us. With the combined efforts of our specialist disciplines of structural and facade engineering and locations in Zurich and Lucerne, we actively supported the project planning and realization of the technically demanding hybrid construction. We visited the spectacular  construction site together and presented the  project with some pride to the public – on a big stage and in the specialist literature.
For us planners, the“On  Your  Marks!” has long since faded away, the finish line has been crossed, the operation of the competence center has begun. Now it’s up to others to get top performances. We are happy to hand over the baton to the athletes, because despite all the love for the project planning and the construction process, we do not lose sight of the essential focus of our actions – to create user-friendly and sustainable buildings.

We are even more pleased how excellently this has obviously been achieved in this construction. This is confirmed by the first positive testimonials of the trainers and athletes who speak in an SRF special.  The informative article presents the project in dialogue with the initiator Hanspeter Strebel and provides insights into the operation of the ambitious center and the unusual sophistication of the sports infrastructure.
