2.8 kg Suurstoffi

Today’s inbox has been something! It was a great pleasure to receive the heavyweight book “SUURSTOFFI”, fresh from the press, which was published by Zug Estates AG on the occasion of several years of site development. 2.8 kilograms of reports, portraits, analyses, interviews and stories about the Suurstoffi site in Zug-Rotkreuz, very originally laid out and richly illustrated – a massive book for a massive project.
We follow the genesis of this “laboratory for the urban development of tomorrow” with interest and not without pride we let the photos, texts and interviews of our esteemed architectural partners convince us that both of our Suurstoffi projects are successful.

“I don’t think that we as an office will ever plan anything so extraordinary again”. Raphael Schmid, partner of Ramser Schmid Architekten, sums up with relief and melancholy the creation of the garden high rise Aglaya, whose structures and façades Lüchinger+Meyer were allowed to plan. In their interviews, Lukas Meyer (Manetsch Meyer Architekten) and Simon Businger (Büro Konstrukt) draw up a positive balance of the interdisciplinary cooperation on the large-scale project on construction site 1, today’s new campus of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Here again, we were able to get involved as structural engineers.
