Under this motto, construction experts will gather for the 6th Graz Concrete Colloquium (GBK) in the capital of Styria on the 12th and 13th of September. Organized by the TU Graz, the event will cover a wide range of current and future topics related to the responsible use of concrete, to do justice to the diversity concrete construction. The content ranges from innovative practical examples and projects to the latest research findings and their transfer into practice.

As part of Session 1 – Circular economy and CO2-reduction in concrete construction – project leader Andreas Gianoli will present the repurposing of the Felix Platter Hospital in Basel. This award-winning renovation project exemplifies an innovative engineering and architectural approach to existing buildings, the relevance of interdisciplinary collaboration, and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions through the preservation of structures.
