Autumn is sweeping across the country, nature is tidying up. For us, too, the time has come to pause, take stock and look ahead. On 29th of October, the entire Lüchinger+Meyer team gathered again for the first time after the pandemic break for the traditional office conference. We chose the Landhaus Solothurn as the venue for good reasons. Firstly, the city’s central location between our offices in Zurich, Lucerne and Lausanne made it easy for all employees to get there, and secondly, the venerable building is one of our current projects. After winning the planning selection process, we are involved in the structural design of the renovation of the listed building. Consequently, a “brief local history” introduced our event, familiarising us with the history of the building and the planning tasks. This was followed by Daniel Meyer’s retrospective and outlook presentation. Anniversaries were acknowledged and annual goals formulated.
Not the morning fog that enveloped the Landhaus, but the Aare flowing past the building became the symbolic companion of the day. Everything in the flow. This was especially true for our various workshops. In various constellations we discussed future topics of building and challenges of the office and project business. It is rare to find such a suitable opportunity for concentrated and constructive discourse in a large group in everyday life. It goes without saying that such collective activity was accompanied by culinary class and conviviality.
