Healing Architecture

The Mammern Castle Clinic, situated on the idyllic shore of Lake Constance, looks back on a history of more than 130 years. The exceptional location, the large castle garden and the historic building structure with a baroque chapel make the facility an extraordinarily attractive place for medical recuperation today. The existing building complex has now been complemented by a park wing and a new entrance area. The extension, which was realized according to the principles of “Healing Architecture” by Baumann Roserens Architects, will open in October. The structural engineers of Lüchinger+Meyer accompanied the project since the initial architectural competition of 2016.
22 superior-, 6 double rooms and as well lakefront suites each with high-quality interiors in the new bed wing, a cafeteria and a dining room create the comfortable spacious setting to enable patients the “Back to Health”, which is the clinic’s goal.

Two special events on the coming September weekends will provide an opportunity to discover the new park wing before it is handed over to the hospital. Under the symbolic slogan “Full Power Ahead,” the clinic invites you to an open house of the extension building on Sunday, September 18. On the following Saturday, September 24, Baumann Roserens Architects will be on site to offer tours of the new building with expert architectural guidance from 11 am – 5 pm. We wish all participants a healthy exploration.
