A day as colorful as Berlin
… was the motto of this year’s summer festival at Tempelhof Airport. More than 25‘000 visitors, many helpers and actors and an extremely varied programme transformed the former central airport and its apron into a colorful setting on September 1.
The planned new visitor center with roof terrace in the head building west met with great interest of the guests. It is considered the first module of the conversion of the listed building. Based on a competition, Lüchinger+Meyer was commissioned to carry out the structural and facade planning together with the architects :mlzd.
