Doubly well built

On 20 September 2021, for the 18th time the awards for good building of the city of Zurich were presented. For around 70 years, the city has been promoting “a diverse and high-quality building culture as well as public awareness and open discourse on urban planning and architecture” with this tribute. City President Corine Mauch and City Councillors André Odermatt and Richard Wolff presented twelve of these prestigious awards to buildings completed between 2016 and 2020.
We are very pleased that the Schlotterbeck residential and commercial building and the Schütze Areal, two projects in whose realisation Lüchinger+Meyer engineers and planners were involved, were awarded prizes.

The conversion of the Schlotterbeck Areal was accompanied by our structural engineers from the competition to the execution, the planning of the Schütze school building was supported by our façade engineers.
Our heartfelt congratulations go to our award-winning planning partners Giuliani Hönger Architekten / Kuhn Landschaftsarchitekten and Jonas Wüest Architekten / planikum.

All award-winning projects can be viewed at the first exhibition of the Architecture Forum at the new location at Zollstrasse 115 from 21st of September to 30th of October.
