Huttwil station becomes world-famous
The 15-centime stamp of the series “Swiss railway stations” is decorated with a graphic of the railway station Huttwil. We are happy to carry the little fame of the stamp out into the world and will use it for our foreign mail in the future. The reconstruction of the railway station was realized by Lüchinger+Meyer together with :mlzd in 2016.
The third issue of the railway stamps looks at the regions. Swiss Post selected the Huttwil station because it was rebuilt using new materials based on the original building structure. It thus stands as a symbol for an architectural development.
