We are pleased that Dr. Borja Herraiz, as a new member of the Extended Executive Board, will significantly shape the development and presence of our office in the future in a responsible position. His activities in the management body will focus in particular on the areas of structural preservation, sustainability and international operations.
Since joining our company in 2016, Borja Herraiz has been working as a project manager in structural engineering at our Zurich office, where he has overseen the structural design and execution of various challenging new construction and rehabilitation projects such as the renovation of the historic building Du Pont, the replacement of the housing development Stüssistrasse 58-66 – Ilanzhof in Zurich, and the Sihlsana residential and retirement center in Adliswil. In addition, he is in charge of several mandates of the client’s technical controlling and has been supporting the conceptual designs in various competition teams for quite some time.
In addition to his work on projects, we appreciate Borja Herraiz’s commitment as a lecturer at the ETH Zurich in the civil engineering program (course “Non destructive evaluation & rehabilitation of existing structures”) as well as an specialist examiner of civil engineering bachelor theses at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – Engineering & Architecture. His active participation in the standardization process (working groups SIA Bulletin 2052 UHFB and CEN/TC250/WG6) completes his external engagement within our discipline.
