With joyful anticipation, the students of the German School Geneva in Vernier announce the new extension of their school building. The cheering human chain frames the floor plan ot he five-storey high building. The realisation of the building begins in a few weeks. The extension will place a sports hall in the basement, a school cantine on the ground floor and classrooms on the two upper floors.
The engineers from Lüchinger+Meyer are happy to continue their involvment in the school area alongside Soliman Zurkirchen Architekten, as the main building was completed in 2007 in the same constellation. As a reminiscence to the main building, visible framework structures are again used in the current design.
