The project intends to renew the existing small square with Coop and restaurant including the adjoining residential area between Schweighof- and Arbentalstrasse in two stages and to realise an attractive, future-oriented residential and business building with more than 100 flats and an attractive centred square.

The building consists of two basements levels, one ground level and three to four upper levels. In the construction field 1 the basement levels extends over the complete project perimeter to make room for a large underground car park.

The completion of the excavation pit is by reason of the poor foundation soil and the large lowering level precarious. For this reason a backward anchored, overcut drilled pile wall was chosen. In comparison with the Schweighofstrasse the depth of the excavation pit is up to 10 meters.

The vertical forces are derived over the supporting cores and further wall discs and pillars. For the horizontal stiffening the cores are used. Multiple cantilevers are realised by Vierenddeel-girders in the facade or wall discs. One pillar in construction field 1 has to be absorbed with a pre stressed joist. All staircase cores are realised in type 4-14 exposed concrete.
