Serving as multifunctional building for the cultural life of the region, the MECA cultural and museum centre in Bordeaux is located on the riverside of the Garonne on the outskirts of the city.

The façade is characterized by a panneling of small concrete elements with integrated, flush-mounted windows and panorama glazing. The high design and haptic quality is produced by sandblasted artificial stone/white concrete with local limestone aggregates. In addition, the façade is enhanced by carefully integrated glazing. The design focus was on the development of tiny flush-mounted punch windows.
