The façade of the Reiss premises in London comprises a double façade with a curtain wall made of plexiglass panes. The visual impact and the lighting effects on the outer façade elements made of plexiglass were created by special processing of the panes. For the structural analysis, the stresses in the plexiglass panes were calculated using non-linear finite element analyses, taking into account the special contact elements between the plexiglass and the fixings.
