OYM – Built to perform

A special new book gets its place of honor in our Zurich and Lucerne office libraries. “OYM – Built to perform” tells the story of the new competence center for top athletics in Cham from vision to reality. We are pleased that we were allowed to be part of this story and that the “sporty” challenges of structural and facade planning are taken into account in this successful publication. “I think we have succeeded in uniting the hybrid uses and stacked volumes in a legible building which allows an easy orientation.” to quote Daniel Meyer’s positive conclusion. At the same time he praises the extraordinarily good interdisciplinary cooperation and the decision-making consistency of the client HP Strebel.

The book lives up to the claim to present the project in a well-balanced way, clearly and competently. The editorial arc spans a wide range across the vision of the building and room concept, the realization and the operation. Facts and figures complete the documentation. Particular attention was paid to the harmonic illustration of the publication (photos: Regine Giesecke). The impressive images of the empty infrastructures and rooms are complemented by numerous motifs that show everyday life in the sports center. It is in particular the images that show the athletes in action that impressively confirm that the vision of OYM has been successfully implemented.
