The MEWA-area was once the ground of the Blattmann Metallwarenfabrik, which was the production site of the legendary Landi chair. Soon a new residential quarter with flexible uses such as gastronomy, theatre, crèche etc. is to be built on the MEWA site. The team Hosoya Schaefer Architects was successful in a two-stage study contract. The structural and facade planners from Lüchinger+Meyer belong to this Team.
