Home game – Open House Zurich 2021

You bet we’re looking forward to the coming weekend in Zurich! The best weather prospects are paired with urban architecture – as open and inviting as it is only once a year. For the sixth time, Open House will make a stop in our “home town” on 2 and 3 October, opening building doors and gates to outdoor spaces that remain closed in everyday life. Between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., architects, monument conservators or building users will give professional presentations of the objects in many places.
Lüchinger+Meyer’s city walkers and strollers with an affinity for architecture will be required to show particular persistence this year – never before have so many of our projects gathered in the event programme.

In addition to the open house classics Villa Patumbah, SIA Hochhaus and Kalkbreite residential and commercial building, the newly completed residential developments Guggachpark and Eggbühl Areal will be on view for the first time. Additional, we recommend a visit to the Aemtler D care building and the gem EPI Gärtnerei Zurich. Last but not least, the two winners of the recently awarded “Award of the City of Zurich for Good Buildings”, school building Schütze and residential and commercial building Schlotterbeck, invite you to discover them.
