… was the motto once again on Saturday in the Unterrohr hall in Schlieren. The ball was rolling at the ‘Challenge Cup’, the footballing showdown of Zurich’s civil engineers. Of course, Lüchinger+Meyer was also represented among the 16 participating teams. Unfortunately, our team was hit by injuries shortly before the tournament and in the first game, and our contingent of substitutes melted away. For the remaining L+M players, this meant that they had to keep going in every game. Hats off to the fact that, despite these extra efforts in the sweltering hall, we still managed to achieve success! A narrow 1:0 victory against Meichtry Widmer in the preliminary round and a hard-fought 3:1 win in the final duel for 11th place against Flückiger+Bosshard are on the credit side of our tournament balance sheet this year. So the chosen collective moustache look as a lucky charm did have some effect.
