Casa Dolce erected
The sweet life still has to wait. But with the completion of the shell, Casa Dolce in Kilchberg is a big step closer to its imminent habitation. This gave rise to a topping-out ceremony for the planners and builders in the midst of the unwrapped supporting structures, which a small delegation of our engineering and construction team was happy to attend. Lüchinger+Meyer accompanied the planning and execution of the opulent residential building alongside Daluz Gonzales Architekten and Bauseits Partner.
The multifunctional pocket knife, which was presented to the guests as a souvenir gift, was a fitting symbol for the residential jack-of-all-trades with its spacious interior and exterior rooms, library, disco, sports hall and spa. On the structural side, the biggest challenge was spanning the column-free basement levels. Prestressed beams were used for this.
