Cooking at the place of power

An architectural competition focused on the conversion of the existing vacation home in Heiligkreuz into a culinary academy. On the planned campus, 50 young chefs will be intruduced to the secrets of culinary art. The team of Thomas Schregenberger – which also includes the construction and facade engineers from Lüchinger+Meyer – was able to win the extraordinary study contract unanimously.

The winning project plans an individual, two-storey hall construction as academy building. Through a sacral-looking refectory, the hall construction is given a special atmosphere in the entrance area. A distinctive roof shape gives the building an independent character. The existing residential building will be supplemented with a new head building.
