The art of reconstruction
The current edition of the Swiss construction newspaper TEC21 is dedicated to the project Schlotterbeck Areal in Zurich. From the competition to the realization, the close integration of architecture and engineering was a necessary condition for the success of the project and the intensive cooperation had a rarity value.
In his article “Virtuos erhöht”, Hans Seelhofer describes the special and multifaceted challenges to structural design. Those required a deeper examination of the stock and its preservation.
