Inside and outside
The last chapter of the project “district heating center Waldau” in St. Gall is now completed. Thomas K. Keller has published an attractive illustrated publication entitled “Inside and Outside”. The publication contains text contributions on the technology, statics and architecture of the functional building. Michael Stang – project manager of the St. Galler Stadtwerke – explains in detail the energy concept 2050, which formed the basis of the construction project.
The structure and construction of the building is being introduced by Hans Seelhofer. Furthermore he highlights the challenges that accompanied the planning and execution of the prefabricated frameworks. The photographs by Katalin Deér, skillfully illustrate the building processes, the interaction of the building with the urban environment and the synthesis of the technical interior.
