The tree above the Beatenplatz

No, it’s not a Christmas tree what impressively towers above the snow-covered roofs of Zurich’s city centre since Tuesday, but the topping-out tree that traditionally indicates the end of the structural construction works. The concrete pouring of the comparatevely modest roof of the staircase’s skylight, marked the end of our major assignment at the historic building Du Pont, one of our most demanding rehabilitation projects in the recent years. It is with some pride that our structural engineers now hand over the baton to the finishing crafts, who will complete the conversion of the listed building into a hotel.

Our thanks go to all internal and external parties involved in the planning and construction, with whom we were able to execute this extraordinarily complex project.

Goodbye, Ruby Zurich!
