Art on building

If the planners and construction companies, who are currently working on the complete renovation of the Butzen school complex in Affoltern am Albis, need an additional energy boost for the completion of the construction work- the collage above, crated from building enthusiast students, will not miss its motivating effect. The work of art adorns the construction board on site. If the users are so enthusiastic about the construction project, we want to support the success of the project with just as much passion.
The listed school complex, built in 1964 by architect Rudolf Künzi, is currently undergoing a total renovation. The building will prepared for the next livecycle. The project is based on a joint competition success of Waeber Dickenmann Partner Architekten and the civil engineers of Lüchinger+Meyer.

Currently, the realization is in full swing. A central redevelopment measure plans to restore the appearance of the building ensemble, originally characterized by pure exposed concrete surfaces, to its original state. At the same time, this requires an intensive restoration of the surfaces. In addition, in the course of the renovation and spatial optimization, numerous structural elements will be replaced or upgraded in accordance with current standards. In addition, far-reaching adaptations of the supporting structure are necessary to achieve a high degree of accessibility.
