Building of the Year 2020

The weblog ArchDaily is the most popular architecture website worldwide and accessed during the day by more than 500,000 visitors. One of the highlights every year at ArchDaily is the award for the Building of the Year prize. This award is based on the votes of the 60,000 architects registered as members of the website.
Lüchinger+Meyer is very pleased and honered that the Amager Resource Centre in Copenhagen (“CopenHill”) is one of this year’s winners. The building was able to secure the prestigious award in the category “Industrial Architecture”.

Our façade engineers are highly excited to have been able to participate in the development of this extraordinary and iconic landmark building alongside BIG Architects (Bjarge Ingels Group).
In total six Lüchinger+Meyer projects were selected in four price categories, with the Kistefos Museum (The Twist) and “CopenHill” two buildings where qualified for the grand final.
