The 4th reinforcing steel day
On 22nd of January, the members of the Swiss Steel and Housing Technology Trade Association SSHV will gather at the Mövenpick Hotel in Egerkingen for the 4th reinforcing steel day. Forward-looking topics will be discussed under the main subject of this event “Challenges and Change in the Construction Industry 2025”. Of course, a civil engineer will also be in the circle of speakers. Daniel Meyer was happy to be a chosen one for a contribution to this program.
His speech “developments in reinforcement” is about the current material technology research like, for example, fiber and concrete in carbon. Furthermore, he points out the possibilities offered by the digitization of reinforcement technology – from execution (robot use, printing of reinforcement) to optimisations in the entire planning and production chain. A look outside the box onto “digital Scandinavia” illustrates the potential of the upcoming technology change.
