The combination of a concrete base and a light wooden structure convinced the jury above all because of the use of materials and the advantages of these two building materials, which are combined in a rational project that tends towards the obvious. The timber construction of the residential floors above ground generates a cosy atmosphere. The concrete structures of the basement floors prove their static efficiency. The building, which fits perfectly into its urban context, adopts an architectural language which is commonly used in the Plaisance district.
